Let's Take a Walk #48 as Part of Laura Victoria Ward's Playful Connection Embodiment Circle

As part of Laura Victoria Ward Playful Connection Embodiment Circle, I conducted Let's Take a Walk on Friday, December 4th.

Embodiment Circle is Inclusive, Playful, rooted in Loving Kindness and Fun!

Here are images of  the key points of our journey.

Today was the National Day of Dices, so the amount of steps for our walk, where decided by chance, 19 steps.

Look up, what do you see, this is what I could see.

Shel Silverstein poem "Put Something In" guided the next action,

What could you hear?                                           Close your eyes, think of someone you love.

We concluded the walk singing Dona Nobis Pacem

Let's Take a Walk Walking together apart. Moving in sync from anywhere in the world. Sharing a journey, a step toward peace, compassion and understanding.

Looking forward to taking the next walk with you.

A bientôt

Let's Take a Walk #47, Vote.

LTAW#47 took us to the early voting, voting booth. We took a virtual guided Walk. Walking separately but sharing a journey #WalkingTogetherApart #Worldwide, departing from Ludlow street to Henry street in the Lower East Side NYC. Where did your walk end?

Those of you who live abroad joined us to show support in this critical moment.

We walked for #Peace #Change #Respect and #inMemoriam of those who passed away as it was November 1st, the day of the dead. November 1st is also #VeganDay, with respect to all being.

From near or far, thank you for sharing this journey with me.

Who did you think of?

What was your wish?

What song did you sing?

The song I hummed was Dona Nobis Pacem.

Paul, Tweet Master of the day, guided you via Twitter, as I led you via Instagram Live.

It was raining, so challenging to Tweet under an umbrella. I was expecting a long line at the pole, but no one was there.

I wish you and your loved one's health, love, and beautiful discoveries.

In the hope that today's voting will significantly change the course of this country and it's relation to the world.

Thank you so much for your participation and support.

With Love Marie Christine

Let's Take a (Virtual, Twitter Guided) Walk #45 went to the voting booth

What else could we do with LTAW#45 but go to the voting booth? And so we did. We took a virtual guided Walk. Walking separately but sharing a journey #WalkingTogetherApart #Worldwide. Departing from my home in the Lower East Side, I walked to 100 Hester Street, NYC. Where did your walk end?
Those of you who lived in a part of the world that did not vote joined us to show support in this critical moment.
We walked for Change to borrow from #44, President Barrack Obama.
By the way, Let's Take a Walk #30 took us to the voting booth to re-elect President Obama. The video featured on LTAW #33 blog post shows a moment as we, a group of volunteers, cleaned up Sandy's devastation on Staten Island.

From near or far, thank you for sharing this journey with me.
Who did you think of?
What was your wish?
What song did you sing?

Songs I had in my mind and hummed as I walked.
Changes David Bowie
A Change is Gona to Come, Aretha Franklin,
Change Christina Aguilera

Note that this walk was, for me, chaotic as I promised to guide you Live on Instagram and via Twitter, and I did so without my Tweet Master. Having to go back and forth from Instagram to Twitter, leaving you with pauses and quiet times, I wonder how it worked for you?
To share your impressions or images of the walk, or to be notified on future projects, please do so via mariechrisitne@mindspring.com.
Wishing you and your loved one's health, love, and wonderful discoveries.

Let’s Take a (Virtual, Twitter Guided) Walk #42 A Stroll with Skoll

As part of the Skoll World Forum Let’s Take a (Virtual, Twitter Guided) Walk #42 A Stroll with Skoll, Took place Wednesday April 1st

During this time where it’s vital to stay secluded and to keep our distances from each other,
We share a virtual Twitter-guided Walk. Walking separately but sharing a journey #WalkingTogetherApart Worldwide.
The focus was on the health and well being of the world and it's inhabitants, prompting dialogues and actions.

Let’s Take a Walk
Since 2009 I have conducted LTAW, a worldwide walk I lead using Twitter ‪@mcayer to guide a shared journey, walking together apart. As I take and tweet a left turn, participants from anywhere in the world also turn left.
During the walk, I ask questions about current social topics, prompting dialogues and actions.Together, though apart, we will journey along creating a similar footprint on different soil.
Note that sometimes LTAW also takes place on site as a performance, but this is, of course, not feasible at present but here is a description, a Town Crier, a Tweet Master, and a Drummer assist me. Passerby’s are invited to join in as well. We film and photograph our journeys, which I compile later into an installation, incorporating costumes and props used during the walk. This final product demonstrates the experience of walking in different places yet moving in sync.

So far, there have been 42 Twitter guided walks starting in 2009, each is a shared moment—a step towards peace and collective wellbeing.
From near or far I hope to share a journey with you.

Here above is an example of the participation, my Tweet said: Stop look up. What do you see. (In New York)I see a blue sky, clouds. A participant from Brazil sent a photo of what  she could see , a blue sky, clouds and trees.

Here below musing, exploring our contribution for changes.
